v7.c93.114

Śabara introduces the 2nd sūtra by saying that what is to be investigated and understood is what dharma is (i. e. what is its nature-svarūpa), what are its characteristics, what are the means of attaining it, what are deceptive (wrong) means of attaining it and what does it lead to (what the fruit or reward of knowing it is) and replies that the second sūtra explains the first two of these (viz. what dharma is and what its characteristics are¹⁹³²).
