¹⁸⁹⁰ The sūtra is 'तद्भूतस्य तु नातद्भावो जैमिनेरपि नियमातद्रूपाभावेभ्यः' वे सू III. 4. 40 on which Śaṅkara remarks. जैमिनेरपीत्यपिशब्देन जैमिनिबादरायणयोरत्र संप्रतिपत्तिं शास्ति प्रतिपत्तिदाढर्याय This means that बादरायण is the author of III 4. 40 (in which बादरायण is not named at all) and therefore of the entire Vedānta-sūtra
