Thus the available evidence points to the fact that the system of judicial organisation that obtained at Vijayanagar was in many respects not the same as the one prescribed in Mādhava’s Vyavahārakāṇḍa. Certain changes may have crept into the system due to the progress of time. In the light of such difficulties we have to handle the Vyavahārakāṇḍa of the Parāśaramādhavīya with great caution.
