“A soldier on the other hand is destined to go to hell and shall not receive the courtesy of proper funeral rites being performed at his death if he does not fight in return for the subsistence he owes to his master (*Navamṁ śarāvaṁ salilasya pūrṇaṁ susaṁskṛitaṁ darbhakṛitottarīyam* | *tat tasya mā bhūnnarakaṁ cha gachchhed yo bhartṛipiṇḍasya kṛite na yuddhyet* ||).
