Thus the king’s menial staff comprised (1) *Kañchuka* (2) *Ushnīshi* (3) *Kalpaka* (4) *Prasādhaka* (5) *Snāpaka* (6) *Saṁvāhaka* (7) *Āstaraka* (8) *Rajaka* (9) *Mālākāra* and (10) *Māhānasika*. As to (6), *Saṁvāhaka*, Strabo says that the king's “favourite mode of exercising the body is by friction in various ways, but especially by passing smooth ebony rollers over the surface of the body” [XV. i. 41].
