This term indicates the collection of Taxes levied on cultivated fields or gardens producing (a) Flowers (*Pushpa* like *Kuṅkuma*) (b) Vegetables (*phala-vāṭa vārtāku-urvāruka*) like 'Brinjals, Cucumber and the like' (c) Sugarcane (*Vāṭa ikshu-vāṭa*) (d) Plantains and Betel-nuts (*Shaṇḍa*) (e) Crops like Rice (*Kedāraḥ dhānyakshetram*) (f) Spices such as 'ginger, turmeric and the like' (*Mūlavāpa*).
