The *Sannidhātā* will thus discharge his responsibility for the revenues of the State with the assistance of his own staff of trustworthy officers (*āptapurushādhishṭhitaḥ*). He should have a knowledge of the resources of the State, the sources of its revenue from both urban and rural areas (*Bāhya-abhyantaraṁ āyam*) for a period of last 100 years so that he may answer questions about it without any difficulty. He should also always be able to show the surplus revenue of the State in the Treasury.
