³ Firishtah, i, pp. 131, 132. Muslims from foreign countries were always welcome at the court of Dehlī. Ibn Baṭṭūṭah gives details of how foreigners were received and treated at Dehlī (I. B., ii, pp. 80, 81). Also vide Masālik-u'l-abṣār, p. 63. There was a special officer called ḥājib-u'l-ghurabā to receive and look after foreigners. The sultans were, however, reluctant to let foreigners take any wealth out of the empire. (I. B., ii, p. 42.)
