8. ...āryādhiṣṭhitā vā śūdrāḥ samūskartāraḥ syuḥ. Āp. Dh. S., II. 2.3.1-4. The passage does not occur in a later ms. (G according to Bühler's classification). Obviously it was removed in later times to exclude the śūdras completely from preparing food.
