v1.c14.s8.t2.32
Coastal areas from the TAPTI s. words comprising the Ulhas near Bombay and the coastlines of Konkan, Karwar, Goa and Kerala thus present a varied picture of Quaternary history. As compared to the inland regions cultural development in this tract is very poor, and no apparent relationship between the Quaternary formations or land-forms of that period and the cultures has yet been seen. The fluvial processes that operated in the immediate vicinity of the coasts also do not throw much light on this problem.
