The shapes in the black-and-red ware are represented mostly by carinated and lipped bowls. Small carinated vases with flaring rim, including channel-spouted bowls, are typical of the period. Further dishes-on-stand and bowls-on-stand are mainly reported from PANDU RAJAR DHIBI. Perforated pottery occurs at most of the sites. The pots are occasionally painted in white pigment with oblique strokes, dots, hyphens, chevrons, etc. The lustrous red ware and the ordinary red ware are generally painted in black or greyish white, the designs being mostly geometric. Some pots bear incised decorations.
