glass bangles. Although the former occur in the PGW levels of HASTINĀPURA and pre-NBPW levels of CHIRAND, they continued to be in vigorous use in the early and middle subperiods (600-50 B.C.) and are a common feature at all sites. Their size veries from 6·5 cm to 8 cm in the early subperiod, but in the middle subperiod their size is reduced and such varieties as a triangular or trilateral pointed and socketed ones are also introduced. Many of them have their counterparts in iron as well. Arrowheads were recovered in clusters as at RAJGHAT.
