The structural remains of this period indicate poor craftsmanship in which mostly brickbats or bricks of earlier levels were employed. The surviving remains are fragmentary and consist of walls of a few courses and paved floors, some with circular holes. It appears that the terracotta finials continued in use to stress the elevation of the structure. The important constructions of the period were represented by a solitary stone sanctum at MANDOR and an excellently sculptured stone *toraṇa* at NAGARI. The latter might have served as a principal entrance to a contemporary shrine.
