The ceramic traditions established in this period—plain red, plain black, red-and-black vessels, thick jars, painted pottery, stamped wares, etc., set the traditions that continue partly to the present. Foreign imports from w. Asia in the form of glazed material seem to make their appearance in the later part of this period, as also the Chinese Celadon Ware [11.25] from e. Asia. They become prominent in the succeeding period.
