In the Krishna valley the remains of rubble structures datable to the Śilāhāra period (*c.* 12th century) have been noted at BRAHMAPURĪ (Kolhapur). Those at Pandharpur, of the same period, were however built of dressed stone. Extensive ruins of the 12th-13th centuries can be seen at Daulatabad, ancient Devagiri, the capital of the Yādavas, but they are unexcavated.
