v1.c9.s4.21

*4.4.3 Chota Nagpur region*. As in the earlier phases [4.2.4] the Upper Palaeolithic assemblages of Singhbhum come from four areas, CHANDIL, GUA, GHATSILA and SINI (Ghosh, 1970). In all these areas the blade-burin group was obtained from the Upper Clay; the collections are characterized by scrapers, borers, points, burins, blades and blade tools. In comparison to the other blade-burin industries, the proportion of burin is less in the Singhbhum area.
