Saraikhola, situated in the vicinity of the Haro river in the Taxila valley, has a 1·83 m thick cultural deposit. While Pd I is a late Neolithic culture having abundant microblades and stone celts with polished cutting edge and highly burnished weathered pottery, in Pd II burnished pottery overlaps with many ceramic forms which are comparable with those of Kot Diji, pre-defence Harappa and KALIBANGAN I (below). Terra-cotta bangles, chert blades, offering stands, humped bull figurines, toy-cart frames and leaf-shaped arrowheads are other finds of this Pd.
