An analysis of the plant remains shows that a long-seeded variety of rice, *Oryza sativa* Linn. var. *Sativa* Bor was in use. Together with this, bones of *Bos indicus* (cow), buffalo, goat, sheep, pig and dog are also found in large numbers, though bones of the ass are few. Other species represented are the deer, birds, reptiles and fish.
