The potsherds recovered are of the same type and time as are found at the site of the temple, showing no special peculiarities. The accumulated evidence goes to suggest that the site extending over about 8 sq km, on the bank of a nullah locally known as Reva, was occupied and subsequently deserted, almsot simultaneously with the construction and subsequent destruction of the temple, i.e. from about the commencement of the 8th to about the end of the 12th century.
