**Pune** (18°30′; 74°54′), Dt Pune. Tools of Series I (Lower Palaeolithic [4.2]) were found on the left bank of the Mula-Mutha river near the Bund garden and several tools of Series II (Middle Palaeolithic [4.3]) a little upstream in the gravel. The gravels in the Deccan College premises produced Middle Palaeolithic tools including burins. *IAR 1956-7*; *1957-8*.
