Excavation in the habitation area by S.R. Rao of the ASI (*IAR 1964-5*, p. 22; *1967-8*, p. 26) brought to light the two overlapping cultures, Neolithic and Megalithic, with two subdivisions in the former. Besides three cairn circles were also tackled.
