**Satanikota** (15°55′; 78°14′), Dt Kurnool, located on the right bank of the Tungabhadra in Taluka Nandikotkur, excavated in 1978 by the ASI with the writer as the director with a view to finding the cultural sequence before the submergence of the area under the SRISAILAM hydroelectric project. The cultural deposits of the site are divisible into three Pds.
