Pīlumatī is in the Atharvaveda (xviii. 2, 48) the name of the intermediate heaven lying between the udanvatī, ‘watery,’ and the pra-dyauḥ, ‘farthest heaven.’ It presumably means ‘rich in Pīlu.’ Cf. Div.
