*śatamāna*, the weight of 320 *ratis*; literally, ‘a hundred units of measurement’, the unit probably being the *mañjāḍi* (q.v.); also called *pala* and *niṣka* (320 *ratis* of gold or silver); during the medieval period, sometimes regarded as 160 *ratis*; name sometimes applied to an ancient gold coin.
