The Kriyāsaṅgrahapañjikā¹, though a later work, furnishes us with an account of the procedure of ordination that prevailed among the Mahāyānists. It follows the procedure of the Hinayānists so closely that it seems that the ceremony of ordination remained almost the same among both the Hinayānists and the Mahāyānists. It runs as follows:—
