In reply to the question whether *puggala* is perceivable in every momentary thought, the Sam. answer in the affirmative but they would not accept the inference drawn by the Th. that the *puggala* in that case would have momentary existence (*khaṇikabhāvam*) i.e. would die and be reborn every moment like *citta* (thoughts).
