Here we must also compare the data given in the Ambatthasutta (“Dîgha Nikâya”) for the descent of Buddha from Okkâka, as well as Sutta Nipâta, “Pârây. Vatthug.” v, 16 (“Fausböll,” p. 186). The Rohinî as a boundary stream between the Sakyas and the Koliyas : passantu tam Sâkiyâ Koliyâ ca pacchâmukham Rohiniyam tarantam (“Theragâthâ,” fol. khû’).
