¹ Less accurate are the earlier statements made by Sūy. II 2, 66 f.= Dasā 6, 15 f.—Pannav. 79b; Jīv. 102b; *te ṇaṃ naragā anto vaṭṭā, lahīṃ cauramsā, ahe khurappa-saṃṭhāṇa-saṃṭhiyā*. They must not be referred (as JACOBI does in Sūy.) to the inside and outside of the various hells. Comp. § 111.
