I want to urge my readers in all earnestness to keep a sharp look out for ancient works. I shall feel highly grateful and equally so, our country, if any one informs me of the discovery of some works not yet seen by me. Not much account could be given in this book in respect of works compiled in such regions as Telāṅgānā, Drāvid and Bengal. It is desirable that people should get as much information as possible about the more importance of such works as also about works like Nāḍigranthas. Again, the descendants of many of the authors mentioned in these pages might be still living; and if they impart some more information to me it will no doubt, prove useful.
