As a specimen of monographs on individual diseases of this period, which came in vogue very early, mention may first be made of Jvaratimirabhāskara¹⁴ composed by Kāyastha Cāmuṇḍa in 1489, on fevers and their treatment. The fever, particularly Sannipātajvara, was mostly treated in monographs. Other special works are related to Bālacikitsā, Śiśurakṣā, eye-diseases, poisoning, leprosy, diabetes, jaundice etc. Momahaṇa wrote in 1411 Momahaṇavilāsa under the reign of Mahmud Shah in Kalpi. According to I. 779 it is a great work on aphrodisiacs, Strīroga and Bālaroga. The Śiśurakṣāratna on Kaumārabhṛtya by Pṛthvīmalla¹⁵ must have been written about 1400, since Madanavinoda is written by his father in 1374 (of. § 11).
