Bheḍa or Bheḍasaṃhitā¹³ which is not yet printed, is very closely related to the Carakasaṃhitā; perhaps it is as if another recension of this work. Caraka himself is only an elaborator of an old work composed by Agniveśa who was a fellow-student with Bheḍa (Car 1.1). Bheḍa is mentioned in the Bower MS. 1.8.
