Nāṣir Khān Fārūqī, a great patron of letters, ruled for about forty years and raised his principality to a high position in the literary world. He was about contemporary with the Sayyid Dynasty and with Ibrāhīm Sharqī of Jaunpūr, during the first half of the 16th century A.D.
