5. Treatment of plants.—The science of the treatment of plants (*Vrikshayurveda*) which does not yet technically exist in the West is represented by a regular section of the monumental work of Varāhamihir¹ as well as one in Agnipurāṇa.² The chapter entitled the “ *Vrikshāyurveda* ” or the science of treatment of plants in disease denotes elaborate care.
