The units of time, absent from the Hṛdaya, resemble those of Suśruta. 41 Mātrā is a synonym of akṣinimeṣa; 42 the nāḍikā is added and said to be 20 1/10 kalā; 43 two nāḍikās form a muhūrta; 44 the yāma is added too and said to consist of 3 3/4 muhūrta; 45 a day and a night consist of four muhūrta each. 46
