v2.c30.725
136 P.V. Sharma mentions the words khuḍḍāka (Ca.Sū.9.1), khuḍḍikā (Ca.Śā.3.1), and jentāka (Ca.Sū.14.39 and 46). The word khuḍḍikā also occurs in the Bhelasaṃhitā (Śā.6). Jentāka is found in Buddhist hybrid Sanskrit texts (see F. Edgerton's Buddhist hybrid Sanskrit dictionary, s.v. jantāka and jenta; compare M. Mayrhofer, 1976: Nachträge) and may be related to Pali jantāghara, which has the same meaning (a room for a steam bath; see the Pali Text Society's Pali-English Dictionary and its references). Compare the views of Jyotir Mitra (1974: 64–65; 1985: 119).
