⁵⁹⁰ Gaṅgādhara ad Ca.Si.12.39: Pañcanadapura lies in the region of Vārāṇasī. Gaṅgādhara’s identification is taken over by Haridattaśarman in the upodghāta (da–dha) to ed. ee of the Carakasamhitā; this author claims that Pañcanadapura is identical with Pañcagaṅgāghāṭa in Vārāṇasī.
