122 The five-syllabled (pañcākṣara) mantra according to Indu (ad A.s.U.8.57), the author of the *Kairalī*, and the Pāthyakāra. I. Tripāṭhī explains in his Hindī commentary on Soḍhala's *Gaḍanigraha* (bhūtavidyā 1.46) that this is the mantra oṃ namaḥ śivāya.
