Vṛnda's sources have not yet been studied in detail,¹⁸ but it is clear from a comparison with the *Cakradatta* and Niścala's commentary on that work that he borrowed extensively from Caraka,¹⁹ Suśruta,²⁰ Vāgbhaṭa,²¹ and Ravigupta's *Siddhasāra*.²²
