The author mentions his name, Godāvara, in the introductory verses (3 and 4) and in the last verse of his treatise.¹⁷⁸ Earlier works written by him are referred to; these works are: *Acāracintāmaṇi*,¹⁷⁹ *Advaitadarpaṇa*,¹⁸⁰ *Nītikalpalatā*, and *Tantracintāmaṇi*.¹⁸¹ He also composed a *Sāmudrikakāmadhenu*,¹⁸² *Jayacintāmaṇi*,¹⁸³ and *Yogacintāmaṇi*.¹⁸⁴
