Some regard Carpaṭi as one of the pupils of Gorakṣanātha, 145 others mention Vyāḍi as his teacher. 146 The Tibetan tradition sees in him the guru of Mīna Pā, 147 i.e., Mīnanātha or Matsyendranātha. 148 Carpaṭi is the twenty-fourth 149 or fifty-ninth 150 of the eighty-four Siddhas. 151 King Sāhila of the Chamba state, who lived in the tenth century, is said to have held Carpaṭi in high esteem. 152
