The oldest MS for the critical edition of the Kulālikāmnāya version was completed during the reign of Rāmapāla (A.D. 1077–1120); another MS dates from A.D. 1134–1135.³¹⁸ The oldest available MS of the *Kubjikāmata* dates from the reign of king Lakṣmīkāmadeva (A.D. 1024–1040); it contains the version called *Laghvikāmnāya*.³¹⁹
