129 The first category is referred to in the Carakasaṃhitā as bījadoṣaja (Ci.6.57) and in the Suśrutasaṃhitā as sahaja or mātṛpitṛbījadoṣakṛta (Ci.11.3). The Suśrutasaṃhitā recognizes a second category, called apathyānimitta. Karman is not mentioned as a cause of prameha in the Caraka- and Suśrutasaṃhitā.
