530 The same verses also occur in the Bṛhadyogataraṅgiṇī (71.66–72ab). Atrideva (ABI 304) states that this description is the earliest one according to Durgāśaṅkar Śāstrin; according to others (B.V. Subbarayappa, 1971: 307) śaṅkhadrāva is already described in the Rasapradīpa (sixteenth century).
