673 The NCC (I, 251) ascribes the *Amarasubodhinī* to Pālakāpya himself. Rākhecā was a Jain monk who became a householder later; he wrote the commentary on the request of Anūpasimha (A.D. 1660–1699) of Bikāner (see JAI 128–129).
