*‘Yajña’ as Sacrifice.* All these Yajñas were modelled on the primordial *Yajña* of the *Virāṭ Purusha* mentioned above, as stated in the text: “Chā kapre tena Ṛishayo Manushyāḥ yajñe yāte Pitaro naḥ purāṇe,” “Pitṛis, Men, and Ṛishis performed *Yajñas* after that primeval Yajña.”
