We have now considered the typical Vedic Yajñas like the Agnihotra and the Soma-Yāga and their cultural value and spiritual significance. While Agnihotra was a daily *yajña*, some Yajñas were periodical like *Darśayajña* to be performed on new-moon, and *Paurnamāsa* on full-moon days. *Soma-yāga* had also several varieties the performance of which took one day, or several days like *Jyotishṭoma*, or even a whole year in the form called *Satra*. A description of a *Satra* will show its cultural and social significance.
