As regards 1. he says that though the doctrine is found in his work *Pramāṇasamuccaya* Ch. II, yet it does not appear for the first time in his logic or is peculiar to him, because this theory, *viz.*, तद्विशेषणता of the अनुमेय is held by the Brāhmaṇa logicians as well as by Diṅnāga and his school.
