² On Mādhava see Ul. II. 475-77. R. Narayana Panikkar (II. 234-35) wrongly describes Mādhava’s *Praśnasāra* as a commentary on the well-known *Praśnamārga*. It may be noted that the *Praśnamārga* was composed in 1650, more than hundred years after the composition of *Praśnasāra* (1543).
