The genesis of this Bibliography and the plan followed in compiling it have been clearly explained in the author's Introduction. Of the two Units established by the National Institute of Sciences of India for preparing lists of source materials for the compilation of the history of various branches of sciences studied in Ancient India, the Unit I has already published a Scientific Synopsis of *Caraka Saṃhitā*, which has received high approbation of the learned public. This, the second publication prepared by Unit II, is a much bigger undertaking and has been done with great care and assiduity. I have no doubt that it will prove to be of great help in compiling the history of astronomy and mathematics in Ancient India.
