In another interesting *brahmodya* described in *Śatapatha Brāhmaṇa* XI.4, Uddālaka Āruṇi, a resident of Kurupāñcāla country is confronted by the brāhmaṇas of north with several complicated questions related to the performance of the ritual of Darśapūrṇamāsa sacrifice. The *yājamāna* had chosen Uddālaka Āruṇi as a priest for the sacrifice and had placed a *niṣka* (coin) in his honour. Unable to resolve the riddles of the brāhmaṇas, Uddālaka placed the *niṣka* offered to him before one Svedāyana, telling that being more knowledgeable, he deserves the coin. The ceremony of the *yajña* being over, Uddālaka went to Svedāyana to learn the answers of the questions asked to him.
